For the first time in its history, Europe’s leading conference on sustainable healthcare was held online from 23 November – 4 December 2020.
Sustainable healthcare leaders from across Europe and beyond joined us to share their challenges and successes on a variety of issues including the reduction of carbon emissions, plastic waste, and food waste in healthcare. We also heard about strategies to tackle antimicrobial resistance, and how the sector can leverage its purchasing power to work with manufacturers to create demand for more sustainable products and services in healthcare. We heard from a diverse group of stakeholders: healthcare professionals, executives, board members, procurement staff, sustainability professionals, manufacturers, academics, policy-makers and many more – united in the common goal to do no harm in the delivery of healthcare.
